Behind the stories

A note from the author

A garden grown from a love of stories, family and curious young minds.

Why The Magical Garden began

I’m Kristofer Conlin, a secondary-school Computer Science teacher and dad to two boys, Jack and Ben.

I wanted to create stories that would introduce children to the ideas behind computing before they ever needed to use a screen.

Through Cody, Lucy and their friends, children can explore steps, patterns, choices and problem-solving — and discover that mistakes are part of learning.

Thank you for joining us in the garden.
